46 lb. spayed female, approx 1 1/2 years old
-This cutie patootie can start off shy
-She loves to check everything out before settling in
-She is super food motivated
-She is skinny and takes snacks very nicely
-We started working on "sit" and she is already picking it up
-She seems to want to play and briefly grabbed a rope toy but it doesn't seem like she really knows what to do with it
-She likes to be close for pets but everything seems new to her
-Walks pretty well on a leash with minimal pulling
-Needs a little time and love to open up fully!
-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros
Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids
*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt
*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.
*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.
*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.
*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.
**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**
*The shelter is open 7 days a week 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM.
