DESCRIPTION
Meet Spade, a sweet 2-year-old boy who seems to enjoy gentle interactions with people and often greets visitors with a wagging tail. From our volunteer observations, Spade appears to be on the quieter side and tends to be people-oriented rather than focused on other dogs during playgroup time. This food-motivated pup accepts treats gently and would likely do well in a calm home where he can build confidence at his own pace. Come meet Spade today! Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
