DESCRIPTION
S’more is a tender 3-year-old boy who’s still learning that the world can be kind. He starts off a bit shy and may back away when approached, but with calm voices and soft moments he warms up and accepts treats like a gentleman. Once he feels safe, his gentle curiosity peeks through — the kind of quiet progress that makes you cheer him on. S’more would thrive with someone who enjoys helping timid pups build confidence at their own pace. With a little patience and reassurance, this sweet soul has every chance to melt into a loving companion, just like his name suggests. Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
