DESCRIPTION
Meet Otis, a gentle and laid-back boy who seems to prefer a calm approach to life! From our volunteer observations, he appears tolerant of other dogs and doesn't mind when they come over to say hello, though he tends to keep to himself during group play. Otis is still building his confidence in new situations and would benefit from a patient family who can help him come out of his shell at his own pace. Contact us about Otis today! Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
