Meraline is a female dog who has presented with multiple medical concerns, including lameness in her right rear leg, most likely secondary to granulomatous swelling, bilateral hip dysplasia, and being underweight. She is experiencing a significant decline in mobility, with difficulty rising, lying down, and walking very slowly, indicating pain and underlying orthopedic issues.
These combined conditions require comprehensive veterinary evaluation, pain management, and ongoing medical care, which exceed what can consistently be provided in the shelter environment. Despite these challenges, Meraline remains gentle and is doing her best while receiving supportive care.
Meraline needs a safe, compassionate placement where she can receive continued medical evaluation, treatment, and supportive care to improve her comfort and quality of life. She is currently at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required.
