Kincaid is a young puppy who has been diagnosed with parvovirus (parvo), a serious and highly contagious viral illness that requires intensive supportive care, close monitoring, and prompt medical treatment. Parvo is a life-threatening condition that can cause severe dehydration, lethargy, vomiting, and diarrhea, and treatment is often prolonged and resource-intensive—care that is difficult to provide consistently in the shelter environment.
Despite this diagnosis, Kincaid is receiving supportive care and is doing his best while fighting this illness.
Kincaid needs a safe, compassionate placement where dedicated medical care, monitoring, and a low-stress environment can be provided to support recovery.
This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov
with your contact information so we can call you back.
