DESCRIPTION
Meet Jackie, a 3-year-old pup with a gentle side who seems to do best in smaller, calmer groups of dogs. While she can be a bit timid and cautious at first, she transforms into a total love-bug with people, cuddling, soliciting pets, and showing off her wiggly, social personality! Jackie is heartworm positive and will need treatment, but she's ready to find a family who can help her build confidence. Come meet Jackie today! Due to capacity at the shelter, this pet is currently at risk for euthanasia. We are urgently seeking placement through adoption, foster, or approved rescue. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing this dog, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov as soon as possible. When emailing, be sure to include a callback phone number so our team can contact you promptly.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
