Meet Ford, a 4-year-old gentleman who loves walks, treats and cuddles. Ford is good on a leash but will need someone to continue working with him as he can pull sometimes and this handsome guy is strong! However, he listens VERY well, learns commands quickly and is eager to please. He knows how to sit on command and is currently learning “shake” and “lay down” with his Foster mom. Ford is house trained and can be left uncrated in the home without concern. He is not destructive (unless it’s a plush toy) and has a very gentle demeanor. He gets excited when playing but quickly calms down once playtime is over. Ford sleeps in a dog bed at night without issues although he may give you sad doggy eyes in hopes you’ll ask him to join you in bed. From our volunteer observations, he seems to be social with other dogs and allowed greetings during his playgroup evaluation, though he can be a bit shy at first. Ford has a laid-back, gentle play style and appears to enjoy calm interactions with his canine friends. If you are interested in adopting Ford, please submit an application today.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
