DESCRIPTION
Ernie came to us as an 8-month-old stray puppy. We’ve completed a 4DX test, but to fully assess his health, he’ll need additional diagnostics—CBC, CHM, UA, PCR, and IFA—that we’re unable to perform at the shelter. Ernie is a sweet, young pup looking for a safe place to continue his medical journey and grow into the happy, healthy dog he’s meant to be. Ernie is currently at risk and in need of additional care beyond what our shelter can provide. We are seeking placement or rescue support to give him the care he deserves.
If you are interested in helping Ernie, please email DASadopt@dallas.gov
and include your phone number so our team can contact you directly.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
