Hi, I’m Arlo!
I’m a 6-year-old, friendly guy with a curious spirit and a love for being involved in whatever’s happening around me. I enjoy exploring on walks, checking out new smells, and playing with toys. The shelter staff and volunteers say I’m a joy to be around, and I think it’s because I genuinely enjoy people (of all ages)! I’m always up for some activity—whether that’s a walk, playtime, or learning something new—but I also appreciate downtime. After a fun day, I’m happy to curl up for a nap or settle in close for some quiet snuggle time. Being near my people is where I’m happiest. If you’re looking for a dog who can bring both fun and calm into your life, I’d love to meet you.
Borrow a Buddy Report: "Arlo was the best adventure buddy! If you are looking for a pup that will be your sidekick for every hike, walk or stroll he is your guy. We started the day with a 2 mile hike at cedar hill preserve. Arlo was very courteous to other people on the trail, wagged his tail at them when they passed, but other than that did not pay them a lot of mind. He already knows "sit" and seems very trainable. We hopped in the car where he loved sticking his head out the window (on slow streets) and feeling the wind flap his ears. He stayed in the back seat and laid down nicely when we started moving faster. We then went to a coffee shop where he was very excited about his pup cup. After we went outside and some children asked to pet him, he did amazing and was very gentle with them.
Come meet me from 12 PM to 6 PM, open every day.
No application or appointment required — walk-ins welcome.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
