Amber is a female dog who presented with bilateral hip dysplasia, including luxation of the right hip. This condition can be very painful and may require diagnostics, close monitoring, pain management, and possible surgical intervention to ensure comfort and improve mobility—care that can be difficult to provide consistently in the shelter environment.
Despite her discomfort, Amber remains gentle and is doing her best while receiving supportive care.
Amber needs a safe, compassionate place where she can receive continued evaluation, monitoring, and appropriate medical treatment to promote comfort and improve her quality of life.
This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter. If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov
with your contact information so we can call you back.
