DESCRIPTION
Theo is a bundle of playful energy and love wrapped up in a big ol' package of puppy dog. He's a big fan of people, has been around kids 4 years and older, and will spend time licking and grooming cats if they'll tolerate his abundance of affection. He loves getting his energy out by running around playing with other dogs, playing basketball, and chewing on toys. He does show signs of resource guarding with his toys and food, so it's important that his space and his food be respected; you probably would be upset if someone took your food too! He is crate trained, as he has a nose for trouble when he's home alone, while also enjoying a quiet space he can go to when he wants to relax.
Theo is a special guy who loves getting to cuddle up to people, and even posing with them for selfies. His big size and big energy comes with big responsibility, and he'll do best in a home with many people to help care for him. If you have dogs at home, we highly encourage doing a Meet-and-Greet at our shelter to see how they do. We also encourage taking him out on a Paw Pass to see how he does in your home!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
