Sandy is a playful, high-energy young boy who came to us via our shelter-to-shelter transport program from the island of St. Lucia. He’s social and friendly with other dogs, though a little shy at first, and loves making canine friends.
We don’t yet know how Sandy would do with cats or children, as he hasn’t been exposed to them before. Like many young pups, he will need consistent, ongoing training and enrichment to help him thrive in his new home. Sandy will also need a refresher in housebreaking due to his time in the shelter.
With patience, structure, and plenty of positive experiences, Sandy is ready to grow into a loving, loyal companion. He would do best in a home that can give him the attention, activity, and guidance he needs to shine.
Sandy’s playful spirit and love for other dogs make him a perfect match for an active family looking to add a joyful, social pup to their life!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
