DESCRIPTION
Hi, I'm Maisie! My shelter name used to be Audie, so sometimes my friends get mixed up.
I'm basically perfect - I came to KCHA as a puppy. From there I was adopted and thought I had my forever home. Sadly, that home left me in a chicken pen with an embedded collar. It grew into my neck and my skin grew around the metal of the collar. So although my neck looks funny, it doesn't bother me anymore now that the nice medical ladies fixed me up!
I'm great with other dogs, I don't bother cats, I love every human I meet! I'm such a good girl who deserves a second chance at a good life.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
