DESCRIPTION
Tiger is a handsome tiger striped brindle who had a home once but now finds himself in the shelter due to landlord issues. He's 64 pounds, about 3 years old and walks well on leash. He was terrified when he first came to the shelter and wouldn't leave his kennel. Volunteers have been working with him and they see a scared dog who responds well to gentle handling, patience and giving him the time to feel secure. Now he can be found going up to them, seeking pets and taking treats. He's a big fan of hot dog pieces if you're looking to win him over and he lights up when a Kong gets tossed to him, showing off a goofy smile and happy tail wag! There's nothing more rewarding than watching a shut down dog discover that the world can be a good place and people can be trusted. He'll do even better in a home. Yours?
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
