Matchbox is a 54 lb tender hearted 2 yr old who comes alive when he's out of his kennel. The shelter environment is scary for him and he shakes and pancakes on the floor out of fear and sometimes has to be carried out. Get him outside though, show him some love and the transformation is instantaneous! Volunteers took him out for the day and discovered a dog who is pure gold, a diamond in the rough with a soft, gentle soul. He's cuddly, sweet natured, and dog friendly. Matchbox would be absolutely perfect for a first-time dog owner—he’s easy, loving, eager to connect, and just needs someone to show him the world isn’t as scary as it’s been.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
