This sweet boy has a wonderful temperament and lovely house manners. While at his finder’s
home, he lived peacefully with a 10-year-old child and a 19-pound Pomeranian mix, and he was
friendly and affectionate with men, women, and kids alike. He did a great job with polite
greetings and giving the resident dog space when she wasn’t interested in playing. He was
consistently gentle while taking treats and showed no signs of resource guarding around people
or dogs with food, toys, or chews.
He did well loose in the bedroom without a crate, had no potty accidents, and wasn’t
destructive. He also handled baths, car rides, and leash walks with ease.He was overall gentle
and friendly. He appears to be a lower-energy dog who enjoys relaxing with his people. As he
becomes more comfortable in a home, he may become a little more playful.
He’s happiest when he’s close to people and is very much a "Velcro dog." Although he prefers to
be near people, he settled well when left alone. He’ll quietly rest his head in your lap and give a
soft whimper when he’s hoping for a few extra head rubs.
He showed interest in cats outdoors and would watch them intently, but he was easy to redirect
on leash and never became difficult to manage. A home without cats, or one willing to do slow,
careful introductions and management, may be the best fit.
With his sweet nature, easygoing personality, and excellent manners, this lovable boy has all
the makings of an incredible family companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who
simply wants to be by your side, he may be the perfect match.
