Rigsby is a total fluffball (with one brown eye and one blue eye). He has got the softest fur and loves to be petted. He's a friendly companion and is happy to follow people around the house. He likes to hop up on the couch and it seems like he's going to be a snuggler once he fully settles in.
The resident German Shepherd and Rigsby like to play - wrestling and chasing whenever they have the chance. Rigby also likes to chew. His favorite toys are the hard Nylabone style, but he's also fond of sticks and cardboard boxes.
Rigsby is still learning the boundaries about furniture - important things like end tables are not for jumping on. But he's easy to lift down and redirect. He loves food and is learning to sit (using treats and hand signals). He's largely potty trained, but doesn't ask to go out. Accidents are rare if you let him out every few hours.
Rigsby is a talker! He whines for about 20 minutes when crated, then settles in. He also barks when he wants something or his toy is stuck under a chair. This has decreased a bit in the short time we've had him, but he probably isn't a candidate for shared walls.
Worth noting: Rigsby seems to be at least partially deaf. If he's sleeping, he doesn't react to people entering the room, doors closing or dogs barking in the house. On the upside, it makes him a champion napper! He may also have some vision impairment. He can get around just fine but he seems to miss fine details like treats on the floor. Vet expressed the possibility he may be "double merle," which can impact hearing and vision.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
