Quail is a very sweet and affectionate girl who would be great for someone looking for a velcro dog. She loves to be with her people! She's an energetic young dog with puppy energy. Hasn't chewed on things she's not supposed to and responds well with verbal correction.
She is doing great with potty training, holds it while fosters are gone. Needs work with kennel training but seems to do okay being left out. If kenneling is necessary, may need a heavy duty kennel so she can't break out. We are working on basic commands such as sit and stay, I'm sure she will catch on with consistency. Does not bark much, overall a quite girly.
She has been getting along with the fosters dogs pretty well, would need slow introductions with any animals you have. She can get overwhelmed and protective of her owner but overall has been doing good. Would suggest other dogs that are not as protective as her to avoid dominance issues. With time I don't see it being a problem though, just need to monitor around animals until certain she is comfortable with them. When she grumbles at the fosters dogs, she responds to verbal correction. She has had little interaction with the fosters cat (due to cat not being dog friendly) but seems like she would do okay with cats. I am told from her previous foster that she did amazing with their kids (ages 3m, 6m, and 3y)! Foster said that she loved their 3yo and never wanted to leave their side!
She needs someone willing to spend time training her. She would make a great family dog just needs time and a chance to show how lovable she is.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
