Meet Cecil
Cecil is an incredibly loving, resilient boy who's ready to find a home where he can truly thrive. He's fully house-trained and does great in a kennel, staying calm and quiet when crated. Around the house, Cecil has some adorable quirks-he loves gathering his toys, and you'll often find him proudly keeping track of his little collection.
Cecil is a happy, affectionate dog who lives for human attention. He'll happily smother you with kisses and isn't shy about jumping up to give hugs when he gets excited. Because of this, he'll need continued training for things like excited jumping and counter surfing, but he's already making progress and learning commands like "leave it," "off," and "wait."
He's playful and full of life-his favorite activities include fetch, chewing on toys, splashing in water, and running around with other dogs.
Cecil would do best in a home without cats or small animals. He tends to chase and bark at them, and while it doesn't appear aggressive, it's something that will require either a pet-free home or very consistent training and management.
Cecil has had FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) surgery. He came in as an emergency case and spent a month in boarding waiting for a foster so he could begin treatment. Despite everything, he remains incredibly upbeat and doesn't let his discomfort slow him down.
Cecil is truly a special dog-affectionate, playful, and full of joy. He's the kind of companion who will greet you with excitement every day and remind you just how much love a dog can give.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
