Hi, I'm Banaenae, and I'm the easiest medium-sized pup to have around! I'm an adult and happily past all those puppy stages, like chewing and potty training. I came into rescue a little underweight, but I'm working on that! My ideal healthy weight is in the mid-30-pound range, and I'm almost there.
I'm a sweet, gentle girl who loves attention, but I'm a little shy about asking for it at first. Once I know and trust you, I'll happily follow you around and give your leg a little "boop" just to remind you I'm there. Before long, you'll have a loyal shadow.
I love running around with the resident dog in my foster home, but I'm not into rough-and-tumble play. I'm very submissive and do best with friendly, respectful dogs who won't overwhelm me. My energy level is low-to-moderate, and I'm perfectly happy entertaining myself with toys when playtime is over.
Meeting new people can be a little scary at first, but I warm up quickly. A tasty treat or a gentle ear or chin scratch is usually all it takes to win me over! I've met children between 5- and 14-years-old and have enjoyed every one of them. I haven't been tested with cats yet, but I wasn't bothered by rabbits I spotted outside, so I seem to have a pretty calm nature.
My foster mom says I'm incredibly sweet and easygoing. I'm completely housebroken, but I do like a little privacy when it's potty time. (My favorite spot is hiding behind the swingset!) Because of that, I'd really love a fenced yard or a place where I can comfortably do my business. I'd rather hold it than potty while on a leash, so if leash potty breaks are my only option, I'll just need a patient family to help me build confidence.
I absolutely love my kennel! It's my safe place, and I often choose to relax there on my own. I sleep quietly in my kennel every night, keep it nice and clean, and settle in without a fuss.
Once I trust my people, I'm incredibly affectionate. I love curling up in laps, leaning into my family, and burying my face into them for cuddles. At the same time, I'm perfectly content spending some quiet time in my kennel when I need a little space.
I'm also very food motivated, so training should be lots of fun! My foster mom says I already know how to sit, and with a few treats and a little patience, I'm eager to learn even more. I'm a smart girl-I just need a little time to feel safe and loved.
If you're looking for a gentle, well-mannered, perfectly sized companion who's already mastered the basics and is ready to become your best friend, I just might be your girl.
Could you be my forever family? I promise to reward your patience with endless loyalty, sweet cuddles, and lots of little leg boops. I can't wait to meet you!

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
