Snuffie is a quiet, friendly girl with an impressive amount of home experience. In a home setting, she is housetrained and can remain loose in the house alone for hours and remain on her best behavior! She routinely slept in a crate overnight and already knows 'sit', 'stay', and 'come'.Snuffie has also lived with another dog and is playful with dogs both big and small. She has also participated in shelter playgroup and been paired with a doggy roommate. She was initially timid when entering the play yard for her first play group, but she tolerated enthusiastic greetings from other dogs and began exploring once she felt more comfortable. She may be a lovely match for a canine companion given a little time to settle in!Her former owner also described her as playful around cats. As always, slow introductions and supervision will help everyone adjust successfully in a new home. Snuffie is currently being fostered in a home with 2 small dogs and three cats.Snuffie walks well on a leash and harness, enjoys chase, wrestling, squeaky toys, and chew bones. She even reportedly enjoys baths (current foster says not so much), being picked up (she needs a little assistance getting in taller vehicles), and having her nails trimmed! She may start out a little shy, but her quiet nature, excellent home skills, and friendly personality give her all the ingredients of a wonderful companion.*She has rather short little legs, so it is not easy for her to "jump" in or out of a vehicle.
