From a rough start in a rural Texas field to the cozy life of a Pacific Northwest pup, Layla is a survivor with a heart of gold. After her mother was lost in an accident, Layla and her siblings were rescued in November and have been thriving ever since. Now that she’s finished her veterinary care, this resilient girl is officially looking for her "forever person."

🌟 Why Layla is the Perfect Addition
Layla is a playful, medium-sized pup who is just as happy splashing in the water as she is snuggling on the couch and getting a chin scratch or belly rub. Here’s a bit more about her personality:
* Good match for families: She is wonderful with children (has lived with kids as young as 5).
* Bonds to her humans and is a devoted sidekick.
* Entertains herself: Layla loves plush and squeaky toys and will entertain herself for a long time!
* Foodie & Scholar: She is highly motivated by food puzzles, Kong toys, Yak cheese, and chicken chews. She’s currently a "student" of fetch—she’ll chase the ball 100% of the time, but bringing it back is still a work in progress!
* Adventure Ready: She’s made great strides learning how to walk on a leash and excels at "checking in" with her person during walks. She loves to explore and have fun. She is a great traveler and loves to go on car rides.
* Has the cutest "zoomies" before she settles down to nap.
🏠 All the "Good Girl" Basics
Lala has been working hard in her foster home and is coming to you with a great foundation:
* House Trained
* Crate Trained.
* Good fit for someone who works from home, is retired, or who is able to come home at lunch to give her a potty break (or has a dog door set-up). Her foster works from home, but Layla has learned to entertain herself (and to nap) in a puppy pen while her human works in another room.
* Knows "sit", "come" (great recall!), and is working on "paw".
* Sleeps through the night

Breed: Mom was Shepherd mix. No idea about dad.

Prevention: Current on Flea/Tick and Heartworm preventives
