Named after Olympic beach volleyball champion Kerri Walsh Jennings, this sweet girl is showing her own quiet strength after being rescued from a hoarding case.
Kerri is incredibly gentle and is adjusting beautifully to life outside of that environment. She may be shy at first, but she warms up quickly and has become increasingly trusting in a short amount of time. Before long, she'll be happily following her person from room to room or choosing the best seat in the house - your lap or right beside you.
She prefers a calm setup over full crating and settles nicely with an open crate in a cozy, closed room when her foster is away or at bedtime. She eats well, has shown no aggression toward people or other dogs, and stays close to her person outdoors as she builds confidence. The leash was initially frightening, so she'll need continued patience and positive exposure. She's beginning to understand potty routines, succeeding outside when given time and consistency, and also using pads when confined.
Kerri is a bright, sensitive dog who will thrive with a patient adopter willing to give her a little adjustment time and let trust build at her pace. In return, she'll be a devoted, loving companion who simply wants to be near her person.
