Aubry - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption

Lovely Aubry is a precious puppy looking for her guardian angel. This very pretty girl arrived at HRA with an empty tummy and a broken heart. She needed time to heal and mend, and now we’re finally seeing those happy tail wags and sweet doggie smiles return. Aubry is searching for a home with adopters who can help her continue to thrive and grow. She’s a gentle, shy little miss who needs kindness, steady meals, patience, and oodles of LOVE.

Since she's been with us Aubry is learning to be brave and we are so proud of her. Once out in the play yard, her personality shines - she loves to run around and cuddle with her person. Recently she went on field trip and we learned a bit more about her: She was a bit shy but very curious and seemed quite interested in meeting other dogs. She was great walker/hiker, even enjoying a bit of jogging. Aubry spent time exploring and showed her delight by zooming around the backyard. She also likes squeaky toys and entertains herself adorably.

With the right family, she’ll blossom into the joyful pup she’s meant to be. Please meet and adopt Aubry soon — she’s ready for her second chance.

We are DC's only open-access shelter. We are always available to help any animal in the District of Columbia. We have cats, dogs, rabbits, and more available for adoption out of our two shelters and also run the Capital Area Spay and Neuter Center.
