The coat alone stops you — high-contrast brindle, rich and complex, rippling over thirty-two pounds of barely-contained kinetic energy that is somehow also extremely cuddly. His eyes are bright and intelligent, which is both genuinely true and slightly alarming given how much enthusiasm he brings to every single situation. He’s a little sensitive about his long, whip-like tail; you would be too if you had such an elegant appendage.
Duma is one and a half years old, crate trained, knows sit and come, lived peacefully with a large dog and three small children including a newborn, gets off furniture when asked, and wound up back here only because the baby developed allergies.
He accepts treats with his whole entire face and zero regard for anyone in the immediate vicinity, and he tries to catch them mid-air with the confidence of someone who has a much better track record of catching than he does. His previous family described his personality as "your friendly neighborhood crackhead" — which is not a note we would typically include in a shelter bio but which is, in this case, simply accurate.
He literally can’t wait to meet you.
