Looking to help a dog in need? Then check out this opportunity to FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT with Canine Haven Rescue! We are a foster-based rescue organization in the GTA. We can only help bring these dogs out of shelters if we have a foster (or foster to adopt) home for them. Fostering is free, all supplies are provided, and you get the opportunity to help a deserving dog! If you foster to adopt, you will have the option to adopt after approximately 2 weeks.

Rhonda is a beautiful 10-month-old female who weighs about 14 pounds and is already spayed. She’s a happy, confident young girl with a wonderful personality and a bright future ahead of her.

Rhonda loves going for walks and does very nicely on a lead. She enjoys being around people and is incredibly affectionate, always happy to soak up attention and companionship. She is good with other dogs and cats, so she could happily share a home with other pets, or she could also thrive as the only dog, enjoying all the love for herself.

Like many young dogs, Rhonda still has a few puppy habits. Because she didn’t have much early socialization, she will sometimes gently use her mouth to hold your hand when she wants attention. It’s her affectionate way of communicating, not meant to hurt anyone, and she is already learning that this isn’t the best way to ask for attention. For this reason, a home with very young children may not be ideal right now.

Rhonda was found starving, alone, and lost, and sadly we don’t know anything about her past. What we do know is how grateful she seemed to be when she was rescued. With care, good food, and kindness, she has blossomed into a beautiful, joyful young dog who is now ready for a loving forever home.
Rhonda is ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who will cherish her.
