Looking to help a dog in need? Then check out this opportunity to FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT with Canine Haven Rescue! We are a foster-based rescue organization in the GTA. We can only help bring these dogs out of shelters if we have a foster (or foster to adopt) home for them. Fostering is free, all supplies are provided, and you get the opportunity to help a deserving dog! If you foster to adopt, you will have the option to adopt after approximately 2 weeks.

Pepper is a one-year-old bundle of joy with a bright personality and an even brighter future ahead of her. This medium-sized beauty, with her white coat and charming brown markings, weighs in at just 28 lbs and is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate.

Pepper is as friendly as they come—she gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children, making her an easy addition to almost any home. She has a medium energy level, enjoys her walks on a lead, and is confident and unfazed by noises or water. In fact, she absolutely loves swimming and will happily splash around whenever she gets the chance!

Smart and observant, Pepper is always watching, learning, and figuring things out. She’s crate trained, adaptable, and could thrive either as an only dog or with a furry companion. Whether it’s a beach day, a hike, or just hanging out with her people, Pepper is ready to be your loyal sidekick on every adventure.
Pepper’s story is one of resilience. She is one of only two surviving puppies from a litter of nine, rescued when a concerned community family reached out for help. Thanks to quick action, Pepper and her sister Phoebe pulled through. After spending time in a loving foster home, Pepper is now at the sanctuary, full of life and ready for her forever family.
