Meet Jimmy, affectionately known as Jimbo, he's the epitome of a gentle giant! With his easy-going nature, he prefers to steer clear of any trouble and doesn't care for raised voices. He eagerly rolls over to show his belly whenever you call him a good boy, often forgetting his size and thinking he's a lap dog. If you're close enough, expect a shower of kisses! He loves to be where the humans are. Whether it's monkeying-around the house or sitting in the backyard soaking up the sun he wants to be there with you!
Jimbo is a quick learner; he sits on command and takes treats from your hand oh-so-gently. Recently, he's started to reveal his playful side, exploring an interest in stuffed animals and toys. One of his quirks is that he likes to gather one of each shoe/slipper on his doggie bed.. he doesn't chew, just collects!
On walks, he's well-behaved on a leash, although he can't resist saying hello to new friends he meets along the way. With consistent training, I'm sure he'll master this habit in no time. Although he's still a bit uncertain about his crate, showing signs of anxiety when left alone in there, he does settle down after a while. We're confident that with patience, he'll learn to see it as a safe space, not punishment. He loves a good nap but prefers his doggie bed over a couch or human bed.
We've tested his boundaries by leaving him out of the crate for four-hour intervals, and he's handled it beautifully! He shows minimal interest in our cat but plays wonderfully with both our big and small resident dogs. Overall, Jimbo is a charming companion who is gradually finding his place and blossoming more into his personality every day!!

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
