Mixed Breed and Labrador Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption

***LaGarza is fostered in Vancouver, WA and is available for meet and greets.***

LaGarza was found with 4 of her siblings wandering in a field in rural south Texas after her mom was hit by a car. Someone in the community saw them and asked if we could help. Thankfully, one of our wonderful fosters agreed to help, and we saved them in early November. LaGarza has done great in her foster home, and she has now completed her veterinary care. She is ready to find her forever person!

LaGarza is playful and enjoys following other dogs around when playing or going on adventures. She does great keeping up with whatever the other dogs and humans are doing. We are looking for a cat free home for her, or a home with a dog savvy cat. She is great with kids and has been with children as young as 5. She enjoys playing with plush toys and when playing with a squeaky toy tends to carry it around vs. making noise with it. She enjoys nylabone edible chicken chew bones, yak cheese chews, and the Kong wobbler toy. A filled Kong toy also keeps her busy.

LaGarza is doing well with house training. In Texas, she used a dog door at her foster home. In Washington, she doesn't have access to a dog door but does well when taken outside a few times each day. She sleeps through the night with no issues. She is learning how to walk on a leash and does great at checking in with her person.

LaGarza weighs 25 pounds, and she almost 5 months old (estimated birthday 10/1/25). Her mama was a Shepherd mix, but we have no idea who daddy was. LaGarza is the smallest pup in her litter, and we think she will be a medium size dog as an adult.

LaGarza is spayed, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. She is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
