Hi, I’m Jojo… and yes, I’ve been told I’m quite the gentleman.
I’m a 2-year-old, 55 lb boy with a calm, gentle nature and a quiet kind of loyalty that sneaks up on you. I might look a little serious at first, but don’t let that fool you—I’m really just a soft-hearted guy who loves being close to my people.
I’m the kind of dog who pays attention. The kind who watches you, learns you, and wants to get it right. Once I bond with my person, I’m incredibly loyal and eager to please. I learn quickly because, honestly, having your attention means everything to me.
Around the house, I keep things easy. I’m clean, well-behaved, and not destructive, and I don’t go around looking for trouble. I enjoy playing, but I’m not overwhelming about it—I know how to read the room, and I don’t get on other dogs’ nerves. I get along well with dogs of all sizes, and I’d be just as happy being your one-and-only or your steady sidekick.
I’m also crate trained, house trained, and up to date on all my vaccinations, so I’m ready to settle in without skipping a beat.
I was rescued in Texas, but I can already picture what life might look like up north… quiet walks, a home that feels calm and steady, and a person I can truly belong to.
My rescue is very intentional about where I go, because they believe the best matches aren’t rushed—they just feel right.
That’s why I’m available through a foster-to-adopt program.
It means you’ll have 2–3 weeks to bring me home, get to know me, and see how I fit into your everyday life before making a final decision. No pressure—just real time together.
And if it turns out I’m not the perfect match, my rescue will move me into another foster-to-adopt home up north, so I can keep moving toward the place that’s meant for me.
I already have my travel plans in place. My transport runs every other weekend, and I’ll be heading up from Texas with my bags packed and my heart ready. I’ll arrive in East Hartford, Connecticut or Brattleboro, Vermont, where I’ll finally get to meet my person and start something new.

Petfinder inquiries can sometimes land in spam folders, so the best and most reliable way to apply or get more information is directly through the website. You can also reach out at rociosrescues@yahoo.com if needed.
They say dogs like me—the quiet, loyal ones—don’t just come into your life… they stay in your heart.
I have a feeling my person is out there… and if you’ve made it this far, I think we might need to meet.
