DESCRIPTION
Don't let her tiny size fool you-Janet packs a whole lot of love into her 10-pound frame. This sweet little lady is equal parts playful and cuddly. She loves a good game of fetch, happily racing around the yard for zoomies with her foster dog siblings before hopping up on the couch to snuggle close to her favorite humans. Janet is definitely a velcro girl who prefers to keep her people within sight, so she'll do best with an adopter ready to help her continue building confidence and working on a little separation training.
Janet is already off to a great start with her manners-she's learned sit, walks beautifully on leash, and sleeps quietly in her crate overnight and when her foster family is away. She approaches the world with a cautious curiosity (understandable when you're only 10 pounds!), but with a loving home to cheer her on, this tiny girl is ready to blossom into the perfect little sidekick.
ABOUT: DACHSHUND DOG BREED
The dachshund is a small dog breed known for its long body, short legs, and distinctive appearance. Originally bred for hunting badgers, these playful and loyal dogs make loving companions for families. Dachshunds come in three coat varieties smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired each with its own unique charm. Despite their size, dachshunds are bold and courageous, with a curious nature that can sometimes lead to mischief. Their endearing personality and adaptability make them popular pets worldwide.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
