Harry is learning how to be a cherished pet after spending much of his early life in a cage and his progress has been incredible to watch. Hes bright, gentle, and eager to learn, picking up new skills faster every day. He enjoys both peaceful downtime and playful moments, and he absolutely loves being with the resident dogs in his foster home he happily follows his foster family around like part of the team, but also just hangs out.
Harry is housebroken, and he settles calmly in his crate and sleeps peacefully when left for a few hours. Hes just beginning to try indoor stairs (a big step for him!) and already manages deck stairs well. Hes leash trained and walks nicely, needing only a little encouragement when he pauses. Loud noises and sudden movements can still startle him, but his confidence continues to grow. He will need continued positive learning experiences in order to learn trust! Harry understands "come, is working on "sit, and responds especially well to praise and kindness.
Harry's diet is comprised of 3/4 cup soft food for breakfast and dinner. His foster mixes fresh pet (multi protein) into his kibble (Pro Plan essentials/ chicken, small breed) wet with warm water to soften. He likes soft treats (sometimes) and is learning to trust by taking it out of his foster's hand!
He LOVES a bath & soft brush down, making grooming a breeze! He would thrive in a home with another friendly dog and with an adult who is home most of the day. He has met children and was a little unsure, but he continues to come out of his shell. Harry is sweet, funny, and absolutely adorable hes going to make a truly wonderful family member!
