Miniature Poodle Dogs Available for Adoption in Hilton, New York

Flash’s story is a bit of a doozy—but that’s what makes his case that much more heartbreaking.

At just three years old, Flash was found dying on the streets of Mexico City. He was dragging his back legs, starving, and terrified. It was incredibly clear that he had been abused to an unthinkable degree, likely causing the spinal injury that immobilized him.

He was rescued by our lovely partners in Mexico who got him cleaned up, helped him walk more easily, and allowed him to blossom into a cuddly, silly dog full of personality.

Flash then made the big move from Mexico to NY on Dogtimus Prime. Once again, he was horrified. It was another new place and he didn’t know if the people here would treat him like he was before he was rescued, or after. Despite his hesitation, he was able to settle in to his foster home like the brave survivor his rescuers had found him to be. He even had a lovely couple interested in adopting him.

After the first week in an adoption trial, Flash had done great (with the exception of growling when he saw someone wearing a hat), and the couple was ready to adopt him.

However, things took a turn the next day. Flash had growled at one of them and bit the other.

As much as they loved him, they realized that Flash needed someone who had experience with a dog that had trauma from abuse—and we completely agree.

We realize that Flash will be hard to find a home for. He walks with disability and takes time to warm up to people. But we aren’t giving up on him just yet. We know his happily ever after is out there, he just needs someone to give him a chance.

The miniature poodle is a highly intelligent and affectionate dog breed known for its curly hypoallergenic coat and charming personality. Originally bred as water retrievers, these small but sturdy dogs excel in various dog sports and activities.
