Wild & Free Rescue utilizes a Google Forms system to process adoption applications, and we have a thorough application process in place. We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis; our priority is to match each dog with the best possible family. An approved adoption application is required before scheduling any meet-and-greets with our animals.

Meet Mr. Albert 💛

Mr. Albert is an estimated 11-year-old senior poodle mix weighing just 5.5 pounds (and happily gaining!). This tiny gentleman may be small in size, but his sweetness is larger than life.

Albert does have some vision loss and no teeth remaining, so he’ll need soft food for the rest of his life. Don’t let that fool you, though — he gets around just fine and loves to toddle around the house, taking in his surroundings at his own gentle pace.

He’s wonderfully dog- and cat-friendly, getting along beautifully with all of our furry residents. He’s not much for toys or roughhousing, and you won’t find him in the middle of playtime chaos. Instead, Albert prefers a calm environment where he can peacefully coexist — and he doesn’t mind sharing a cozy bed with another dog.

While he’s not naturally a big human snuggler, he absolutely adores being petted. Give him some good scratches on his hind end and you’ll have his whole heart. We’re helping him learn that cuddles can be pretty great, too!
