Miniature Poodle Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Astro 💗🐾

Astro is a PARTI Toy/Miniature Poodle who was born in July, 2021 and weighs 11 pounds. Astro is friendly and outgoing with both people and other dogs. He is doing well with leash walking, but likes to mark when out and about and will need help curbing this behavior. He was neutered on March 18 and that should help. Astro is also very vocal and probably not suited for apartment living due to barking. This may improve when he is out of the overstimulating kennel environment.

Astro is a recent arrival from a high volume breeder in Amish country and probably aged out of the baby makin' business. Being rescued from a high volume breeder doesn't mean there is anything wrong, The dog could have been the wrong color, size, fur, whatever or now retired from breeding. We are lucky enough to work with a vet in the area who cares enough to scoop up these dogs and get them adopted instead of ........??

Adoption fee is $700

All Ashland County Humane Society animals' adoption fees include:

~spay/neuter
~micro-chip
~de-worming
~vaccinations, including rabies
~heartworm prevention

We are an all volunteer-based organization that does not have a building or a staff, only 8 members with jobs and families, trying to make a difference. We do not have the volunteer manpower to show animals to non-approved applicants. If your application gets screened and approved, we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and you can decide if this is the right pet for you.
