Meet Denny A Little Dog with a Big Heart!

This adorable toy poodle mix has already shown the world just how resilient he is. Denny came to us having suffered a broken leg that went untreated, causing it to heal incorrectly but don't let that backstory fool you. After a successful corrective surgery, this little guy has bounced back with all the enthusiasm and wiggle of the puppy he is. His spirit is completely unbroken.

Denny is a toy-obsessed, people-loving, kiss-giving bundle of puppy energy. He will play with his toys with pure joy, and when he's finally worn out, he'll curl up right next to you or on top of you like that's exactly where he's always belonged. He's housebroken, crate-trained for short daytime periods, and pen-trained overnight, which means he's already got some great foundations in place. He even knows how to "sit" and walks nicely on a leash!

Denny loves people genuinely loves them. He's smart as a whip and eager to learn. Right now he's working on some puppy manners, like not play-biting hands or his leash (a work in progress, but he's getting there!). He does well with other small dogs and enjoys having a canine companion.

Denny is a tiny, delicate little guy, and because of his petite size and non-stop wiggly puppy energy, a home with young children isn't the right fit the risk of him getting accidentally bumped, dropped, or overwhelmed is just too great. We don't yet know how he does with cats.

An Important Note: Denny is still in a recovery window following his surgery. His veterinarian has advised that over the coming months, it will be important to limit jumping off furniture or overly rough play to protect his healing leg. His adopter will need to be mindful of this but it also means you get lots of cozy cuddle time built right in!
