Meet Crunch!
Crunch is a special boy looking for a very special
home. He came from a hoarding situation and is still learning that the world can be a safe and kind place. Because of this, Crunch is fearful of people and will need a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to give him plenty of time and space to adjust at his own pace.
Crunch feels most comfortable in an open yard environment, especially when he has other dogs around. In fact, he truly thrives in the company of canine friends and would do best in a home with a couple of confident, friendly dogs to help him feel secure. Right now, he's living at The Milo Foundation Sanctuary, in our "Small Dog Haven" with a little cabin and good sized wrap-around" yard where he enjoys running freely and spending time with a group of about eight other dogs.
While Crunch is still wary of human interaction, he is food motivated and will come closer for high-value treats-an encouraging sign as he continues to build trust. His future adopter should be prepared for a slow journey.
Crunch also has some barrier reactivity and may run along the fence line and bark when he sees or hears something beyond it. His bark isn't very loud, but he does like to use his voice to express himself.
We know that finding the right home for Crunch won't be easy, but we believe every dog deserves a chance-and Crunch is no exception. With patience, compassion, and the right environment, he has so much potential to blossom.
