Dottie has been through more than a puppy ever should. At only 8 weeks, she and her two siblings were brought to a high kill shelter, from where they were thankfully rescued. Despite being in such a traumatizing environment, Dottie has remained a loving, resilient, and enthusiastic pup who is ready to start her next chapter with a forever family.

She has quite high energy level — playful and confident, but also happy to relax and snuggle. Dottie gets along beautifully with other dogs, and kids, making her a fantastic addition to almost any home. She is potty trained and best friends with her foster sister who tolerates all her shenanigans.

Dottie is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and kept on all preventatives, so she’s completely ready for her forever home.

Dottie's foster mom takes her to work with her, and she enjoys riding shotgun, and getting attention from all her coworkers.

Her adoption fee of $600 includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality Harness and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters. Transport fee is not included but can be between $200 - $250 for her size.


Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.

Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. We need the parents to be patient and compassionate towards the changes that these pups are undergoing, being taken away from a home they came to know as their own to a new environment. 3-3-3 Rule of Adoption must be followed at all times to make adoption successful.

Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible.
