911 URGENT - Maddy isn’t feeling well, no longer wanting to eat in the shelter and is past her shelter deadline. She needs a long term foster or an adopter to immediately save her life.

Maddy #A549813 is a 6-year-old Mastiff mix and truly a gentle giant, is in critical need of rescue. When she first arrived, Maddy greeted every staff member with warmth, offering hugs and kisses, wagging her tail, and showing her sweet, affectionate nature. She knows “sit,” enjoys playing fetch, takes treats gently, and walks well on a leash. Recently, Maddy contracted an upper respiratory infection. Even while not feeling well, she continues to greet staff with a soft tail wag, though she now remains lying down most of the time. Maddy has now stopped eating entirely. We have tried multiple options, including different dog foods, wet food, cat food, and even high-value treats like dog churu, but she refuses all. She is currently receiving Cerenia and subcutaneous fluids for support. This morning (April 10th), staff attempted to gently force-feed her a meatball, but she spat it out. Maddy is not feeling well, but she remains incredibly sweet and cooperative with staff. She urgently needs a quiet, calm home where she can decompress and recover. The shelter environment is no longer suitable for her condition. Maddy has not eaten in 2 days and must exit the shelter.
