I'm a quiet girl with a gentle heart. The world is still a little new and overwhelming for me. I came from a puppy mill, so I didn't grow up learning how to be a regular dog. I'm very shy, but I promise — I'm never aggressive. I just need a little time to feel safe.
Right now, I'm more of an “Aloof Admirer.” I like to hang out nearby and watch what's going on. I'm curious... I'm just still figuring humans out. The good news? I'm making really nice progress.
I'm pretty low energy and I'm happiest in a calm environment. I don't play much yet, and I'm very quiet. I eat breakfast and dinner like clockwork (routine makes me feel safe), and I love food — treats are the fastest way to my heart. I'm crate trained and still learning the basics of home life.
I do well with other dogs, and having a confident dog friend might help me keep building my courage. What I really need is a patient family. Someone who understands that healing takes time. Someone who will celebrate the little wins — like when I take a step closer, or choose to stay nearby instead of hiding.
I may not be the life of the party... but if you give me the gift of safety, I promise to quietly bloom. Could you be the one to show me that the world is kind?
Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional's recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal's history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
