Ireland is a gentle little soul who simply wants to be close to someone who loves her. At 9 years old and just 8 pounds, this tiny girl’s favorite place is in your arms or curled up right beside you. 💛
Ireland has very limited vision, and her left eye currently has some drainage that we are keeping a close watch on. Because of her eyesight, she relies on her people for guidance and reassurance. She may need a little extra patience as she navigates her surroundings, but once she feels safe, she is incredibly sweet and loving.
Potty training is still a work in progress. Ireland does well when she’s carried outside and someone stays nearby with her, but she will need a home that understands she may need extra help and consistency in this area.
Ireland is eating well, gaining weight, and enjoying the comfort of being in a safe foster home. She also has a dental scheduled to address a few teeth that need attention so she can feel her best moving forward.
What Ireland needs most is a patient, compassionate adopter who understands that senior dogs sometimes come with a few extra needs — but they also come with some of the biggest hearts.
