DESCRIPTION
Meet Sugar!
Sugar is a 6-month-old Maltese mix with a whole lot of love, energy, and personality packed into one tiny pup! This high-energy girl is super sweet, playful, and always ready for fun. Sugar does have lifelong medical needs due to a rare condition called atresia ani, meaning her anus did not fully form and she was unable to pass stool normally. She underwent surgery to correct the condition, but because some of the muscles and nerves had to be cut during the procedure, Sugar is unable to control when she poops. This is an expected lifelong side effect of her surgery, and her future family will need to be understanding and prepared to help manage her special needs. Despite everything she has been through, Sugar is a happy, loving, playful puppy who is ready to find someone who will love her for exactly who she is. If you're looking for a sweet little ball of energy with a heart full of love, Sugar may be the perfect addition to your family!
ABOUT: MALTESE DOG BREED
The Maltese is a small toy breed known for its glamorous white coat, which is long, silky, and virtually hypoallergenic. They are gentle, affectionate companion dogs that thrive on human companionship and make wonderful family pets. Maltese dogs are playful, intelligent, and alert, with a confident demeanor despite their small size. They require regular grooming to maintain their luxurious coat and are suitable for apartment living due to their size and adaptability.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
