He's incredibly affectionate and happiest when he's keeping you company-whether you're washing dishes, moving around the house, or relaxing on the couch for a cozy night in. His sweet, loyal nature means he'll only add more love to your life.

Andrew is kind and respectful with his animal roommates, including cats, and he does well with other dogs who share his calmer, low-key vibe. High-energy pups can make him a bit unsure, so he would thrive in a home with gentle companions and a peaceful routine.

He's currently working on his crate training. While he may protest a little at first, he does settle in once he realizes it's time to rest or eat. Andrew is still learning his potty routine and doesn't yet let you know when he needs to go out, so he'll need a patient adopter who can provide structure, encouragement, and lots of positive reinforcement as he continues to make progress.

Andrew is very food-motivated (he knows exactly where the pantry is!) and will do just about anything for a tasty reward, which will be a wonderful tool as he keeps building his skills and confidence. After a difficult past, he's learning what it means to feel safe and loved, and he'll need a little extra TLC from someone willing to guide him as he figures life out. In return, you'll get a deeply devoted, gentle companion who will stick by your side through it all.
