Meet Aphrodite, a beautiful one-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as her soulful eyes.
This sweet girl came to us as a stray in rural Mississippi, bravely caring for her five gorgeous puppies.
Despite her rough start, Aphrodite proved to be an incredible, devoted mama.
Her babies are safe and sound with another rescue.
We are now more than willing to find mommy a home since it's finally her turn to be loved.
She is currently in a loving southern foster home where she's learning what a safe, happy life looks like.
At first, Aphrodite was very shy, but with patience and kindness from her southern foster family, she has warmed up beautifully.
Once she feels safe, her sweet and gentle personality and calm easy-going nature shine through. .
Aphrodite gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has been friendly with everyone she's met, both young and old.
This gal is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained!! And she does wonderfully in a car.
She forms strong bonds with her people and truly enjoys being part of a family.
Aphrodite would do best in a patient, loving home where she can continue to build her confidence and receive the affection she deserves.
If you're searching for a loyal, gentle companion with so much love to give, she may be your perfect match.
