OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Foster insights/backstory:
Twix and Vanilla Bean are two tiny survivors with hearts much bigger than their little bodies. Born on the coldest days of winter, their mama did everything she could to keep her babies safe, but sadly only these two made it. Because of their difficult start, they came into foster care shy and unsure of the world around them.

Each day, though, they grow a little braver. You can see it in the way they peek around corners, in the tiny tail wags when they realize they’re safe, and in the way they follow the other dogs in the home looking for reassurance. While they are not bonded and can be adopted separately, they both take great comfort in canine companionship and would thrive in homes with another confident dog to help show them that people can be kind and life can be fun.

They are gentle, sweet puppies who are still learning that hands bring cuddles, meals, and love. With patience, kindness, and a little time, these babies will blossom into loyal family companions. Watching them come out of their shells is incredibly special — the moment they decide to trust you is the moment your heart completely melts.
