Meet Ruff, our newest resident at the Mikey & Me Kennels for Happy Days Rescue.

Ruff is a Black Lab (mix?), he’s somewhere between 3-5 years old, he weighs 49 pounds, and he’s a fast learner. To be transparent, I brought Ruff to Mikey & Me for a couple that recently lost their beautiful Yellow Lab. However, if they end up not choosing to adopt him, he will still be available.

Ruff was found as a stray before being rescued into a large shelter. I want to believe this sweet boy has lived in a home as he is well mannered, knows basic commands, and loves meeting new people. Ruff was tested with another large dog at the shelter and he did just fine; he engages nicely with kids but he’s still learning not to pull on his leash when walking.

Ruff has been vaccinated but he still needs to be neutered, microchipped, tested for Heart Worm disease, etc. His first Vet appt. is on Friday, June 5th and he is being neutered on Monday, June 29th.
