Meet Odie

Odie is an 18-month-old, 60-pound black Lab mix with the softest eyes and the sweetest heart you could ask for. If there were an award for “Most Likely to Lean Gently Into Your Legs for Affection,” Odie would already have the trophy.

Odie was found as a stray and ended up at Cedar Rapids Animal Control. During his time there, he lost 9 pounds. We pulled him into a foster home and he’s now back to a healthy weight and really thriving.

Odie does great with other dogs and cats. He loves people and would be happy to greet everyone he sees. He likes to play, but more than anything, Odie just wants a person to love. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and would be happiest knowing he belongs.

When his foster mom is at work, Odie has free roam of the house and does beautifully. He does not need a kennel and is respectful of his space. Because he enjoys stretching his legs and getting the zoomies out safely, Odie does require a physically fenced yard.

If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will greet you like you’re the best part of his day, Odie is ready to fill that role. He’s done with the stray life. Now he just needs a forever home where he can stay.

Odie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
