My home needs are:
-I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption, as I enjoy hanging out over playtime.
- I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises.
- For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.
- Wayside recommends no apartments or shared living spaces for me. I like to use my voice when I am excited
- New people and things make me a little nervous. Wayside recommends that I have a low traffic home.

Hi, I’m Charlotte!

I’m a 4-year-old chocolate lab mix with a sweet spirit, a loving heart, and a nose that’s always looking for the next fun scent. I’m currently enrolled in the LIFT University program because I can be a bit shy when meeting new people and exploring new places. I’m looking for a patient adopter who will give me the time and space I need to feel safe. I already know a lot of basic commands, and while I might start out quiet and reserved, just wait until I trust you... once I open up, my fun, happy, and delightfully wild personality comes shining through!

My absolute favorite thing in the world (besides my human friends!) is stuffy toys. I love carrying them around and playing with them to my heart's content. I also adore going on long walks where I can follow my nose, take in all the interesting smells, and greet my favorite people for lots of head scratches and pets. I'm definitely a true people-dog at heart and much prefer the company of my humans over other dogs.

To help me feel comfortable and thrive, I'd do best in a home without shared living spaces like apartments or condos. If you already have other dogs at home, we'll just need to do a meet-and-greet first to see if we're a good fit. If you're ready for a sweet, loyal companion who will shower you with love once she gets to know you, I'd love to meet you!
