DESCRIPTION

Buckle up, chickens! It's time for Inky's Tour of the Great United States! Isn't that what middle-aged ladies are supposed to do? Start new hobbies, chase new dreams, and be who they always wanted to be?
Leaving my old life behind and starting fresh wasn't exactly 100% my choice, of course. Sometimes, that's how it happens. But if there's one thing you can't steal from a dog like me, it's our joy. We may be sad or stressed at times, but that joy is always there, waiting for its moment. Yes, I'm eight years old and currently bereft of a family, and I could see that as a tragedy, but I'd rather see it as an opportunity!
I've got so much love to give. I'm a 65-lb lap dog who loves to cuddle. In my previous home, I was housebroken and well-behaved. I've lived with and gotten along with other dogs (including small dogs in my previous home and dogs my own size in the shelter). I'm not one for wrestling, so I'd prefer a dog companion who is happy to just coexist and possibly cuddle with me, rather than trying to play.
I'm still in great shape, of course. I love going for walks and have enough energy to keep up with all sorts of people. In fact, my heart for adventure is part of what got me in trouble: when left unattended in a yard, I've been known to dig under the fence and take myself on unauthorized walks. In my next home, I would need someone willing to take me out on leash for potty and exercise breaks or hang out with me in the yard when I go out.
I've had a lot of good life already, but it's nowhere near over! Now, it's time to live my biggest dream: to have a family of my own and stay with them for the rest of my days. Whether that involves traveling the country together, pottering out in the garden together, or just taking lots of naps... I'm happy, as long as I'm with you!

If interested please fill out a preliminary at odas.org/canine and someone will contact you to schedule your visit.
